Tic Tac Drink Table
Some things go anywhere, but only a rare few go everywhere. Thomas Pheasant conceived the Tic Tac Table as a whimsical play on positive and negative space. A simple grid starts and stops in an irregular rhythm, and the unexpected placement of the members changes the view as we circle the table. The resulting spiral motion, the leap from one level to the next, is symbolic of how our destinies interact. The Tic Tac is a piece of modern jewelry that just happens to be a table. Made by an atelier in Italy, on a street with neither a sign nor a name, requiring more than 300 brass parts, and assembled by hand, some things quietly honor the practice of the old world and the promise of the new.
