At the Barolo Bar Stool

The Theodore Alexander At the Barolo Bar Stool takes its cue from a 19th century Italian original: an oval padded back over an upholstered circular swivel seat, carried on turned legs joined by an X stretcher fitted with brass foot rest mounts. It is a stool for a serious home bar or tall kitchen island, where guests settle in rather than perch.

Design & Craftsmanship

Part of Theodore Alexander's Classic yet Casual collection, the stool is built in khaya wood and finished in Barolo (VCF170), a rich brown that suits the leather. Both the back and the seat are upholstered in Old English leather (LE0119) and edged with TA Vintage Nail trim, the nailheads following the oval of the back and the circle of the seat. The seat swivels, and the brass mounts on the stretcher protect the wood where feet rest. Seat height is a tall 30¾ inches, with the top of the back at 46 inches; the inside seat measures 18 inches wide by 19 inches deep.
