Design & Craftsmanship

TA Studio is Theodore Alexander's line of pared-back designs, and the Dorian follows that brief closely. The frame is beech, finished in Ossian (VCF1483.2A3A), a tone that shows the wood grain on the square tapering legs. The back is a single upholstered panel rather than a loose cushion, and the tight seat keeps the profile trim at 24 inches wide, 26 inches deep and 40 inches tall. The Swathe fabric (UP5100) is finished with welting along the edges, giving the chair a tailored outline. Seat height is 19½ inches and arm height is 25 inches, with an inside seat of 18 by 18 inches.
