Okoume and Morado veneers wrap the frame in the Clean Ramsey finish (VCF582), a warm mahogany tone that lets the marquetry and the mother of pearl read clearly across the bowed front. The applied frieze, the leg capitals and the scroll feet are cast brass in an Old English finish, and the same brass binds the veneered undertier, a practical second surface for trays or books.
