The Theodore Alexander Middleton Tallboy Chest is a gentleman's chest in the Federal Period style, built tall and narrow so it can carry a serious amount of storage on a small footprint. Its signature is the bowfront reeded top with protruding corners, resting above leaf-carved capitals and reeded column supports that frame the drawer stack. It suits a primary bedroom that needs a dresser's capacity without a dresser's width, or a dressing area where height matters more than spread.

Design & Craftsmanship

Theodore Alexander builds this piece from khaya wood with khaya and okoume veneers, the figured mahogany surfaces finished in Southampton 75 (VCF663) so the grain shows across the drawer fronts. The arrangement is eight short drawers over three long graduated drawers, so small items such as watches, cufflinks and folded accessories live up top while sweaters and linens go below. Turned feet lift the case off the floor, brass detailing picks out the fronts, and an anti-tip kit is supplied for secure wall anchoring.
