The Caracole Main Event Sofa is a kidney shaped sofa with an iconic, sweeping outline and enveloping comfort. Upholstered in a warm caramel-colored velvet, its gracefully flowing form has a smooth, continuous back and a bowed bench seat traced with French seams. Bronze sabre-style legs lift a curved wood base finished in Dusty Silver, and toss pillows in a shimmering cut velvet add a painterly stripe and a pop of contrast.
Design & Craftsmanship
Introduced in Caracole's Fall 2021 collection, the Main Event is a caramel velvet sofa built on an 8-way hand tied seat with a plush poly foam bench cushion and pure feather down pillows that give the back its relaxed fullness. The exposed wood frame in Dusty Silver follows the curve of the seat in one unbroken line, and the metal feet in Bronze Plated Metal angle outward in a sabre profile.
Nearly 100 inches wide and free of straight lines, the Caracole Main Event Sofa is meant to float. In a Coral Gables living room it can face a fireplace with its curved back toward the foyer, and in a Key Biscayne great room the caramel velvet warms up white walls and pale floors. The Dusty Silver wood base and bronze feet pick up cool and warm metallics elsewhere in the room.
