Design & Craftsmanship
Released in Caracole's Fall 2021 collection, the Open Air builds its personality from a few carefully chosen materials. The metal frame is finished in Deep Bronze, a dark tone that outlines the cube like a pencil sketch. Inside sits a butcher block Koto veneer shelf finished in Moonstone, a pearlescent coating that lets the linear grain show through with a soft shimmer. The glass top carries a 3/4-inch bevel that catches light along the edges, and the piece rests on a recessed plinth base in Almost Black so it appears to hover. Caracole designed it to pair with the faux shagreen-wrapped Solid Ground cube, and together they make a layered grouping that suits a Pinecrest family room or an Aventura waterfront apartment.
