Inspired by the butterfly effect, in which a small event has far-reaching effects, the Caracole Resonance Cocktail Table is a contemporary statement piece for the modern collector. A long white marble cocktail table forms the base of the composition, its surface traced with accent swirls that ripple out from a smaller, offset and elevated oval in Grey Onyx to a raised half-moon section in the same stone. Each element is carried on a Champagne Gold metal frame with tapered legs, so the stone hovers at two heights.
Design & Craftsmanship
Introduced in Caracole's Spring 2024 collection, the Resonance combines two natural stones. The main top is Guangxi marble, a white stone, while the elevated oval and the half-moon accent are cut from Grey Onyx marble whose deeper tone gives the swirl pattern its visual weight. As natural materials, veining and color vary from piece to piece. The metal frame and legs are finished in shimmering Champagne Gold. Caracole lists the composition as a 66 by 25 inch large table, 17 inches high, plus an 11.25-inch square small table rising to 22.5 inches, the elevated oval above the main surface. In an Aventura penthouse or a Coconut Grove great room, the Caracole Resonance Cocktail Table becomes the focal point in front of a long sofa, and its two levels separate books and objects from drinks.
