An oval Calacatta Viola stone top, veined in plum, burgundy, inky brown and black, rests on a cabinet with bullnose corners wrapped in hand-applied Tupelo veneers and finished in a deep Otter Gloss finish. Four long, slender round rods in Brushed Gold form the metal frame and lend the piece a subtle Deco feel. Design & Craftsmanship
Part of Caracole's Fall 2024 collection, the Vena balances three materials with care. The Calacatta Viola stone top (specified by Caracole as Calcutta Viola Domestic White) brings natural figure that no two slabs repeat. Beneath it, the Tupelo veneer case is polished to a high Otter Gloss that reflects the stone's colors, and its rounded bullnose corners soften the long 82-inch silhouette. The Brushed Gold metal frame runs the length of the piece as four thin rods, and the door hardware intersects geometrically with the Brushed Gold feet. Inside, the case is finished in Otter and fitted with two drawers with bottom finger pulls plus two adjustable shelves behind the four doors.
