Italian in its 1930s bones and thoroughly modern on the floor, the Theodore Alexander Antonio Game Table is built around a gilt-tooled leather top that is ready for cards, chess or a jigsaw that stays out all week. Bold square legs on tapered brass cappings give it an architectural stance that holds its own in a living room or a library corner.
Design & Craftsmanship
Khaya wood and makore veneer make up the frame and apron, with aluminum in the detailing. Three finish materials are listed: Caramel LU44 leather (LCF330), Gold tooling (LT02) and Cambridge AH (VCF1557.2A-1), and the table is photographed in the Cambridge finish with the inset leather standard. Pivoting frieze drawers swing out for cards, chips and scorepads, and the clearance under the apron is 24 3/4 inches, so dining chairs slide in comfortably. The Theodore Alexander Antonio Game Table comes from the Alexa Hampton collection, whose case pieces share its warm, gilded palette.
