Cast aluminium is shaped into limbs that carry a 20-inch circular top of figured ash, so a piece that works as a round drinks table beside a chair also does the job of a small sculpture. Design & Craftsmanship
The top is built from ash veneer over composite, chosen for the ripple in the grain, and the branching base is cast in aluminium and given the Volcanic finish, a dark textured treatment that contrasts with the smooth wood above. Earth (PCF1177.2G) and Dune (PCF1176.2G) are the two finishes offered, and both belong to Theodore Alexander's Catalina collection, so consoles and other tables from that group coordinate without matching exactly. The Theodore Alexander Catalina Branch Accent Table is a useful height at 24 inches, tall enough for a lamp and low enough for a glass, and in the open-plan rooms of Aventura and Pinecrest it can float between two seats rather than being pushed against a wall.
