The Theodore Alexander Eliot Sideboard is a seven-foot four-door cabinet drawn straight from Art Deco thinking: a broad case of khaya swirl veneer raised on slim tapered legs, with lustrous Hampton Brass appearing only where it earns its place. Four molded oval-shaped pulls line the front, squared accent ferrules mark the leg joints and polished foot caps finish the legs. It is a serious storage piece for a dining room that entertains.
Design & Craftsmanship
Handcrafted from khaya wood and khaya veneer with brass, the cabinet belongs to the Marlborough by Alexa Hampton collection for Theodore Alexander, where minimalist Deco lines are paired with warm metal. Two colourways are available, Cambridge AH (VCF1557.2A-9) and Marlborough Geo Coast (VCF902), the first reading warmer and the second cooler and greyer. An anti-tip kit is supplied. Behind four doors there is room for linens, chargers, glassware and the serving pieces that only come out twice a year, and the 36-inch height makes the top a workable buffet line. In a Pinecrest dining room the Theodore Alexander Eliot Sideboard anchors a long wall; in a Coconut Grove loft it can stand alone as the only cased piece in the room.
