White Glove Delivery: Delivered with care, placed to perfection.
A round top softens a room full of rectangles, which is the first thing the Theodore Alexander Gillies Side Table does for a seating group. Alexa Hampton reimagines a classic occasional silhouette here in an Art Deco key: four tapered legs, carved detailing around the apron, brass capped feet and a second tier below for books. At 24 inches across and 26 high it lands at armrest height beside most sofas and lounge chairs.
Design & Craftsmanship
The timber is khaya swirl, handcrafted and veneered so the curling figure wraps the circular top, and two colorways are offered: the darker Cambridge AH (VCF1557.2A-9) and the lighter Geo Coast finish (VCF902). Hampton Brass caps the foot of each leg and geometric brass accents pick up the carving, a restrained amount of metal that keeps the piece from tipping into pastiche. The open display shelf beneath gives you somewhere for a stack of art books or a tray. Part of the Marlborough by Alexa Hampton collection, the Theodore Alexander Gillies Side Table reads well in the layered interiors of Coral Gables and Coconut Grove, and its small footprint suits Brickell condos.
