Griffin Side Table

Designed by Alexa Hampton, the Theodore Alexander Griffin Side Table takes a familiar occasional silhouette and gives it an Art Deco reading: a square top whose corners are notched on two sides, geometric metal accents, and Hampton Brass feet capping four squared legs. A small drawer swallows remotes and coasters, and an open shelf below takes the books that would otherwise pile on the top. It is the useful kind of decorative.

Design & Craftsmanship

Griffin is handcrafted from khaya swirl veneer, an African hardwood whose figure moves in soft, curling waves, and it is offered in two colorways: Cambridge AH (VCF1557.2A-9), the deeper and more traditional of the pair, and Marlborough Geo Coast (VCF902), noticeably lighter and cooler. Both carry the same brass capping at the feet and the same geometric inlay-style accents on the case.
