The design follows a Louis XV original of about 1770, scaled for a modern bed at 33 inches wide.

Khaya and maple wood form the case, veneered in khaya, oak, morado, sycamore and okoume and finished in Heritage Brown (VCF2101); Swirl Brown (LCF005) and Gold tooling (LT02) round out the finish materials, and brass is used for the mounts and pulls. An anti-tip kit is supplied with the piece.
