Design & Craftsmanship

A khaya wood frame carries all of the carving, and glass does the rest, the eglomised border drawing a graphic dark outline around the reflection. Three finish materials are listed for this piece: Painted Gold AH (PCF1066.2A), Rustic gold rub through red base 19 (PCF1071) and Cambridge AH (VCF1557.2A-12); it is photographed in the Cambridge finish with gold details, so warm gilding reads against the darker wood tone.
