The Theodore Alexander Repose Round Coffee Table spreads a 57-inch oak circle across the middle of a seating group, its raised edge tray top stopping magazines and remotes from sliding away. Underneath, bronze spade legs taper out from the mass above, and an open display shelf bridges them at the lower level.
Design & Craftsmanship
Oak wood and oak veneer build the top and the shelf; steel does the structural work in the legs and wears a bronze tone so it reads as warm contrast rather than a match. An intensive multi-step hand finish is what brings the grain forward in either colourway, Grey Oak under PCF1175.1K2HA3F or Charcoal Oak under PCF1186.1L2HA3F. Circular and low at 16 inches, the Theodore Alexander Repose Round Coffee Table suits plans where a rectangle would push traffic around a corner, which is often the case in the open living spaces of Coconut Grove and Edgewater. Matching pieces exist in the Repose collection for anyone furnishing the whole room at once.
A table this wide asks for a generous rug and a sofa with room to breathe behind it. In return there is no sharp corner to catch a shin, and the lower level takes trays, art books or a single large bowl without crowding the surface above.
