The Theodore Alexander Repose Wooden Console is built from wire-brushed white oak and topped with a shallow tray style top that quietly corrals keys, books and a lamp instead of letting them slide off the edge. At 60 inches wide and 16 inches deep, it is an entryway console table that reads as generous without stealing floor space from the walkway.
Design & Craftsmanship
Oak wood and oak veneer are used throughout, with the brushing opening the grain before the finish goes on so the texture can be felt as well as seen. Two veneer treatments are offered: Grey Oak, coded PCF1175.1K2HA3F, which keeps the tone cool and ashy, and Charcoal Oak, PCF1186.1L2HA3F, which is darker and smokier. The raised lip sits above a matching wooden base, so the Theodore Alexander Repose Wooden Console presents as a single mass rather than a top perched on legs, and it comes from the Repose collection if you want related pieces in the same two finishes.
Behind a sofa in an Aventura living room or along the hallway wall of a Miami Beach apartment, the narrow depth is the point. An anti-tip kit is provided so the piece can be secured to the wall, which matters when the console lives where people brush past it every day.
