Alternating quarter straight-cut oak veneers are laid across the surface in bands, so the grain changes direction panel by panel and catches the light differently as you move around it. Oak wood and oak veneer make up the rest of the piece, finished in Grey Oak (PCF1175.1K2HA3F) or Charcoal Oak (PCF1186.1L2HA3F) through a layered hand process. The desk stands squarely on solid trapezoid-style legs, leaving 24 in (61 cm) of clearance beneath the apron for a chair and crossed knees. The Theodore Alexander Repose Wooden Desk is drawn from the Repose collection, so a companion piece in the same oak can be specified for the same room.
