Spencer London Cocktail Table

The Theodore Alexander Spencer London Cocktail Table is a generous 60-inch cocktail table, 32 inches front to back and 17 inches high, which puts the surface level with the seat of most sofas. That depth is unusual and useful: two people sitting opposite each other can both put something down without leaning, and a large tray, a stack of books and a lamp can share the top without looking crowded.

Design & Craftsmanship

Spencer London is Theodore Alexander's reading of Lord Spencer's London townhouse, an English interior brought forward into contemporary proportions and executed in figured sycamore, maple and khaya crotch wood. This piece is supplied in the Chelsea finish under code VCF1972, the darker of the two tones the collection is shown in. The Theodore Alexander Spencer London Cocktail Table earns its keep in a Pinecrest living room where the sofas are long and the light is strong, because the figured grain gives the eye something to read at close range rather than a flat expanse. Other Spencer London tables are made in the same finish if you want the room to hold together.
