Five feet of wall, 15.75 inches of depth: the Theodore Alexander Urbane 60-Inch Console Table is the shorter of the two Urbane consoles and the easier one to place in a real hallway or behind a sofa. Brushed pine veneer covers the body and gives the surface its raised, tactile grain, while custom aluminium hardware carries a pattern taken from lizard skin. It is a calm, useful piece rather than a loud one.
Design & Craftsmanship
Urbane reads as contemporary but never formal, and the construction backs that up: pine wood and pine veneer worked back with a wire brush, then finished in one of two collection tones. The lighter option is the Sundew finish, coded PCF1247; the alternative is Campfire, coded VCF2026, which takes the same grain several shades deeper. Aluminium hardware supplies the only metal note. At 32 inches high this narrow console table lines up with counter-height sight lines, and at 97 lb it feels substantial without being a struggle to position.
