The Theodore Alexander Brent Settee measures 76 inches across and mixes leather and fabric upholstery on a khaya frame accented in brass. A settee of this width slips into places a full sofa cannot: the foot of a large bed, a wide entry hall, a library wall, or opposite a pair of club chairs. The arms sit high at 30.5 inches, which gives it more presence than the footprint suggests.

Design & Craftsmanship

It is shown in LE0540 leather with UP7308 fabric, the latter a 100 percent solution-dyed polyester with a cleaning code of SW, over a frame of khaya wood with brass and the Fulham finish (VCF1973). The piece comes from Theodore Alexander's Spencer London collection, which takes its cue from Lord Spencer's London townhouse and leans on figured sycamore, maple and khaya crotch wood across the group. Solution-dyed cloth is a sensible specification for a bright Brickell apartment or a Key Biscayne room that takes full afternoon sun. As a living room settee the Theodore Alexander Brent Settee seats two comfortably at a 17.5-inch seat height, low enough to feel relaxed and high enough to get out of easily.
