Despite the name it carries, the Theodore Alexander Charmant Dining Table is a cocktail table: a softly curved 56" top standing 17" from the floor on sculptural pedestal supports. Its creamy surface is a hand-painted lacquer whose layered, pearlescent tones seem to drift across the top as the light changes through the day, which is why it reads as the centrepiece of a seating group rather than a background piece.

Design & Craftsmanship

Lacquer over MDF gives painted work like this the flat, seamless field it needs, with no grain or joint to interrupt the brushwork, and the curved edge means there is no sharp corner at shin height. Theodore Alexander offers the table in three finishes, Solstice (PCF1215), JL Feather (PCF1237) and JL Latte (PCF1275), each one a different reading of the same luminous idea, and all three belong to the Judith Leiber Couture collection, where a larger dining version of the Charmant design continues the look into the next room. The Theodore Alexander Charmant Dining Table suits a Brickell or Miami Beach living room with a pale rug and a low sofa, where its 110.2 lb of weight keeps it planted while the painted surface does the talking.

Why buy your Theodore Alexander cocktail table at Decor House

Decor House Furniture has been part of the Miami design scene for 43 years and is an authorized Theodore Alexander dealer, so a hand-painted finish is ordered, tracked and delivered correctly rather than approximated. Our white glove delivery team unpacks the table, places it and removes every carton, which is worth having with a painted surface. The Decor House Trade Program looks after designers and architects on client projects, and the showroom at 4119 Ponce de Leon Blvd in Coral Gables is where you can compare the three finishes in daylight. Order the Theodore Alexander Charmant Dining Table with us today.
