Despite its name, the Caracole Petit Sofa is anything but small: it is a fully upholstered sofa available at 90 and 110 inches wide, with a seat that runs a full 80 or 100 inches across. The name refers instead to the trim, close-fitting way the velvet is tailored over the frame. It is a sofa for a well-proportioned living room, for hosts who want an elegant piece that seats four or more, and for anyone who loves the depth of colour that velvet delivers.

Design & Craftsmanship

New in Caracole's Spring 2026 collection, the Petit is covered in Oatmeal Velvet (21008-87CC), a warm neutral with the soft sheen and slight colour shift that velvet gives, set against a Dark Chocolate frame that grounds the pale upholstery. Underneath, the seat is 8-way hand tied, the traditional benchmark for upholstery suspension, and finished with a Euro #6 cushion for a supportive sit that keeps its shape. At 33 inches high with a 19-inch seat height and 22-inch seat depth, it encourages upright conversation rather than sprawling. For a Coral Gables living room with Mediterranean terracotta, or an Aventura apartment with cool greys and glass, the Caracole Petit Sofa adds warmth and texture, and the oatmeal and chocolate palette works with almost any accent colour.
