Part seat, part footrest, part sculpture, the Luanda Pouf is a hand-woven jute pouf that mixes cotton, wool and jute into one richly textured cube. Its polybead fill takes your shape when you sit and springs back when you leave, and its lightweight build means it moves wherever the evening takes it. Decor House Furniture carries it for clients who want living room floor seating with global character rather than another matching armchair.

Design & Craftsmanship

Made by Surya in India, the Luanda Pouf draws on the country's weaving traditions, with cotton, wool and jute yarns hand woven over a polybead core. The mix of fibers is what gives the pouf its personality: nubby jute against soft wool, with cotton bringing definition to the pattern. Colorways run through black, brown, dark brown, light beige, olive and seafoam, so the piece can either disappear into a neutral scheme or add a note of green. In a Coconut Grove bungalow it pairs naturally with rattan and plants; in a Brickell high-rise it softens a sleek, hard-surfaced room. Care is simple: spot clean only.
