A circular accent table has to earn its place, and the Theodore Alexander Catalina Side Table III does it with a stone-like surface and a base of figured ash. The round top sits at 24 inches, a little taller than the usual occasional table, so it reaches over the arm of a deep sofa and can stand in for a bedside table in a guest room without looking improvised.

Design & Craftsmanship

The base is cut from figured ash and finished in one of two Catalina colourways, the darker Earth (PCF1177.2G) or the sandy Dune (PCF1176.2G), while the top wears Theodore Alexander's Mineral finish, a composite treatment that reads like honed stone. The contrast between open wood grain and the matte Mineral top is the whole idea of the piece. The Theodore Alexander Catalina Side Table III is light enough to move around a Coconut Grove living room as the furniture shifts, and its round footprint keeps traffic flowing in a Brickell condo where square corners would catch.
