All wood and no upholstery, the Theodore Alexander Henrietta King Bed puts a paneled headboard and a matching footboard between posts crowned with brass decorative finials. Delicate inlay outlines the panels, ornate brass mounts punctuate the frame, and tapered legs with brass caps ground the whole thing. It follows an original from the Princess of Wales Bedroom and is made in US King.

Design & Craftsmanship

Khaya wood carries morado, khaya, okoume and sycamore veneers under a Heritage Brown finish (VCF2101), warm enough to read as walnut across a room while the inlay keeps the panels from going flat. Brass appears in the mounts, the finials and the leg caps. The bed accepts most adjustable mattress frames, which is worth knowing before you order. The Theodore Alexander Henrietta King Bed is part of the Sunderland collection, so nightstands, dressers and desks are available to match.

In an Aventura or Key Biscayne primary bedroom the 61.5 inch posts hold their own under high ceilings without closing the room in.
