The Cadenza Accent Floor Lamp is an iron floor lamp with the bearing of a classic: 65 inches tall, anchored by a travertine base and crowned with a hand-painted linen shade. The materials are traditional and so are the proportions, which is exactly why it settles so easily into rooms that already have good bones. Decor House Furniture suggests it as a living room reading lamp beside an armchair, or as the tall accent a formal sitting room needs in a quiet corner.

Design & Craftsmanship

The body is sturdy iron finished in black, giving the lamp a slender vertical line, while the travertine base adds weight and a natural stone counterpoint at floor level. Above, the linen shade is hand-painted and lined with polystyrene, so it diffuses light softly and holds its shape over time. The Cadenza Accent Floor Lamp is part of the Cadenza collection made by Surya in China. In a Coral Gables Mediterranean home it complements dark wood and wrought-iron railings; in a Brickell apartment with modern furniture it supplies the one traditional note that keeps a Miami room from feeling like a showroom. Its 24-inch width throws a generous circle of light without crowding a seating group, and upkeep is just a wipe with a dry cloth.
